🏫 Secondary schools around Ibadan Talks • Activities • Q&A

A gentle way to let mathematics visit the classroom.

The Secondary School Outreach programme connects NAMSSN UI students with nearby schools. A small team visits, shares a clear mathematical idea, runs a short activity, and answers questions about studying mathematics at the University of Ibadan.

The aim is simple: leave pupils with one memorable idea, one friendly experience of mathematics, and one clear picture of what it can mean to study the subject further.

How the programme works

The outreach team agrees on a date with the school, confirms basic details, and prepares a short, well-structured session. After each visit, a brief note is kept so that future teams can see what has been done and build on it.

  • • Visits are usually 60–90 minutes.
  • • Mathematics is kept accessible and interactive.
  • • Each visit is documented so that the programme can grow steadily over time.
